Content

"Croatian II" is suited for students with some previous knowledge of Croatian.
It aims to teach you the basics of the Croatian language and to familiarize you with various aspects of culture and life in Croatia. In the course of the semester we will study some of the vocabulary related to these topics: visiting a restaurant or café, shopping, work life, close surroundings, interests and hobbies, leisure time and travelling. We will practise important phrases and expressions so that you can engage in every day conversations.
Regular attendance and participation in class is required!!!
The final exam will take place in the last lession in june.

Previous knowledge expected

some previous knowledge of Croatian (basic vocabulary and some basic grammar) or participation in class Croatian I offered in winter semester.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

We will study Croatian grammar, pronounciation and vocabulary. By the end of the course you will have acquired basic vocabulary that allows you to have simple conversations in Croatian and communicate in every-day situations. The course also covers some of the vocabulary related to the fields of study of BOKU university. You will also learn about cultural aspects of living in Croatia and about its geography.
