Ability to carry out plant population surveys at the countryside, as well as "public and private green" of urban areas. Recommendation of suitable woody plant species / varieties for different climatic and site conditions.

Systematics, identification characteristics and geographical extension of indigenous and ornamental woody plants in Middle Europe. Presentation and description of genera and species and, if relevant to practice, also varieties. Notes on reproduction, habitat requirenments, diseases and maintenance. Recommendation of best suitable woody plants for use along streets, in parks and gardens.
