Models and theories of policy-making, the political systems of Austria and the European Union, actors of forest sector policy (government, administration, political parties, interest groups, firms, etc.), instruments of forest sector policy (regulative, financial and informational), analytical concepts of forest sector policy analysis, systemativ overview on the main problem areas of forest sector policy-making.
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The main objectives are to provide basic knowledge for independent analyses of problems and processes relevant to the forest sector, in particular to the industries of the sector, and to raise readiness to responsibly participate in the development of an informed opinion and in democratic decision-making.
