Based on a case study, hydraulic alternatives should be developed by the students. The “optimal” solution is elaborated in the form of a detailed project study. The work is done in small groups and as a result a general project has to be created. Where possible, data of real projects are used to get a close connection to practical experience.

The exercise part of the course is held at group level and is directly based on the contents of the lecture. The successful completion of the lecture is a precondition for the completion of the exercise part. Based on the preliminary project, the students elaborate one of the conjointly chosen variants in detail. The results can be interpreted as a detailed project study ready for implementation.
