Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After having passed the exams the student knows about the basics of river construction, flood control and flood protection, dams and weirs, hydraulic model testing as well as hydropower exploitation. He is able to understand problems in the field of hydraulic engineering and to discuss suitable solutions. He is able to specify in different field of hydraulic engineering. The student should have basis knowledge about hydromechanics and hydrology.
