After completing this course, students:
- can define scientific work and writing and can describe the difference between scientific and popular writing
- know how scientific work is structured
- know how to plan and structure a scientific report
- know how to research literature
- know how to use and reference literature, data, information, etc. in their own scientific writing
- know strategies for successful scientific writing
