Aims: Give an introduction to fundamental processes in the rhizosphere and their applications in environmental technology and sustainable agriculture
Objectives:
- Obtain knowledge about concepts of root systems and the rhizosphere
- Know about and understand fundamental physical, chemical and biological processes in the rhizosphere and their interaction
- Appreciate the importance of rhizosphere processes in plant nutrition, pollutant uptake and ecotoxicology
- Obtain insight into applications of the rhizosphere (rhizosphere management) in environmental technology and sustainable agriculture
