Basic knowledge of agricultural construction (heat balancing, construction materials, construction methods, relevant agricultural physical structures and construction types (requirements, stables, storages, fertilizer deposits), ecological assessment, requirements on room climate, light, hygiene and immission protection, planning of buildings and construction, planning of the court area
- Previous knowledge expected

Explain the theoretical principles of Farm Building Design and Technology and discuss practical questions.

Students
-classify building materials and building elements
-know the characteristics of construction materials and different types of construction
-Identify the requirements for stable buildings, storage buildings (storage of grain, hay, ... potatoes), storage containers for forage as well as storage of solid and liquid matter
-know and test methods for the evaluation of environmental properties of building materials (LCA, life cycle assessment)
-have gained basic knowledge of air conditioning systems, ventilation systems, thermal and ventilator aeration
-interpret aspects of immission protection
-discuss and select heating and lighting in line with the demand
-are aware of the needs of cleaning and disinfection
-know the principles of building design
-use methods of building cost analysis
-know the contents of building preparation, construction planning and implementation
