Graduates of the course:
- have solid knowledge of the generative and vegetative reproduction and the population dynamics of weeds as well as the interaction between weeds and crops,
- know factors responsible for changes in the weed flora,
- know important annual and perennial weed species,
- are able to assess the impact of weeds on crops,
- know the fundamental options for preventive, cultural, chemical and non- chemical weed control including trends and new technologies
- know the main herbicide groups and their mode of action
- understand what herbicide resistance is and know preventive measures and
- are able to take a decision of whether or not to control weeds.
