After successful completion of the course, the students have theoretical and practical knowledge of ecological cycles, interactions and population ecology. They know fundamental terms and facts and understand the great importance of interactions in ecosystems and organisms. Their gained knowledge establishes the basis for problem solving in conservation and management, but also for the understanding of biodiversity.
