The course is held in presence. The current COVID-19 regulations of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences apply.

Content
In the lectures, current trends, topics and projects in landscape architecture are presented and discussed. Topics: Infrastructure and landscape - Garden shows - Architecture and landscape - Places of memory - Urban development and landscape - Open spaces in urban renewal - Art and landscape - Hybrid landscapes.
In the seminar, the significance of criticism in landscape architecture is discussed in depth on the basis of texts and landscape architecture projects.

Previous knowledge expected

The course is intended for students of the Master's programme Landscape Planning and Landscape Architecture.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students acquire knowledge of landscape architecture and deepen their knowledge of design and intervention in the context of contemporary social, natural and regulatory frameworks. Students acquire skills in reflecting on and evaluating landscape architectural projects and can use this competence as a basis for designing.
