- To gain knowledge on the composition and functions of blood, as well as on the mechanisms of blood coagulation both on plasmatic and cellular level;
- To become familiar with the regulation mechanisms of blood purification (natural anticoagulant factors, fibrinolysis, balance between coagulation and anticoagulation);
- To discuss the interactions between coagulation and inflammation;
- To get an overview of blood purification techniques;
