The aim of the course "Participation and Conflict Management" is to familiarise participants with concepts of participation and conflict management in order to
- identify deliberative or participatory decision-making in individual policy areas (e.g. transport/mobility, nature conservation, energy/climate, waste),
- to get to know the basics of participation and to apply appropriate process designs,
- to successfully apply socio-scientific strategies and methods for the analysis of conflicts,
- to recognise one's own role in the democratic process and to localise possibilities for shaping it in professional practice.
