This course is a PhD and master’s student seminar for students working or doing projects at the Institute of Colloidal and Biointerface Science. The seminar provides training in the presentation, analysis, and critical discussion of data and scientific material in the field of colloid and biointerface science. In the seminar, we treat current research work and emerging methodologies from scientific literature. Reaching the course objectives requires weekly participation for at least one semester in the seminar series, where preparation and presentation of material, as well as active participation in the discussion of other course participants’ material, are compulsory.

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:
1.Present scientific data and methodology in a coherent, structured seminar format.
2.Analyze and critically assess experimental design, data quality, and conclusions in current research in colloid and biointerface science.
3.Evaluate the relevance, limitations, and implications of methodologies and findings in the field of biointerfaces, biomaterials, and nanomaterials.
4.Engage in scientific discussions by giving constructive feedback and defending their own research contributions orally.
