Content

The practical course is open for students from the Master programme "Wildlife Ecology and Wildlife Management" and provides the opportunity to get in contact with wildlife research in the field and in the laboratory. By joining current research projects students will get insights into scientific work. During the lectures, the progress made in planning the internship is discussed together with the course leaders and any questions arising during the preparation of the internship report are discussed. Participating students who do not have specific questions are included in the discussions.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Graduates can develop scientific questions and work on them under supervision. They apply appropriate statistical methods for data analysis and are able to evaluate and discuss the findings in the light of the available literature. At the same time, graduates are able to write a scientific paper in English and are aware of the quality criteria for scientific work.
