To facilitate understanding of animal welfare concepts and applications
To understand animal welfare aspects from scientific, ethical and legal point of view
To be able to formulate and defend an argument
Competences
In depth knowledge of the most important welfare issues of farm species
Understanding of the welfare impact of different situations on various farm species (science/ethics/law)
Ability of critical thinking, which can be applied and developed during the course of the study, personal and professional life
Realisation, that many opinions are possible, ability to argue own standpoint using science, ethics and law
