After successful completion of this course students will be able to describe modern crop science methods, aspects of agricultural production, plant anatomy, utilization of harvest products and breeding of crop plants.
Students will be able:
+ to describe precisely the shape and structure of the plant body and its useful parts
+ to recognize useful compounds of crop plants of particular quality and value, be it primary storage compounds or secondary metabolites
+ to analyze crop plants according to their use and purpose either as edible plants (for human consumption or as animal feed) or as technically useful plants (plants producing fibers, wood or energy)
You can find more details like the schedule or information about exams on the course-page in BOKUonline.
