Upon completion of the course, students are able to
- name and explain the basic terminology and concepts as well as theories in the context of risk and uncertainty
- list the main sources of risk and uncertainty in agriculture and discuss them based on practical examples
- explain the possible impacts of risk on farm businesses
- name and discuss on-farm (internal) and external risk management tools and strategies
- name and discuss basic methods to incorporate risk and uncertainty into farm business management
-select suitable theories and methods to appropriately consider risk and uncertainty in farm business management, based on single-farm examples
