Content

The elective course “Forest estates and services” provides an overview of rental law and tenancy law – as well as of the service business of a forest management unit, illustrates the possible economic framework and refers to important legal norms for such transactions. It conveys basic knowledge of negotiating contracts for such transactions. Opportunities and risks of transactions will be demonstrated.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Successful participants of the elective will know the fundamental estate and service businesses of a forest management unit, have an idea of the economic opportunities, know the most important legal norms applicable to such transactions and are able to prepare simple contracts. They will be able to identify possibilities for such transactions within a forest management unit including all opportunities and risks involved.
