VESTRA INFRAVISION Road is a modern planning tool to support users in accomplishing design tasks and creating optimized solutions for urban or rural planning.
-General introduction and overview
-Project creation
-Alignment creation (ground plan)
-Definition of cross section elements
-Vertical alignment: (Interactive) design of gradients
-Overview of further modules, introduction in swept curve simulation, sewer planning, plot
The lecture will be blocked (4 blocks, exercises including homework).

Previous knowledge expected

-Experienced computer skills in general as well as skills of computer aided design with AutoCAD
-Knowledge regarding road alignment (e.g. “856.105 Road design”)

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Objective of this lecture is the acquisition of basic skills with the design program VESTRA INFRAVISION Road in view of the practical application in road alignment. The handling of the basic functions will be worked out conjointly in practical exercises.
-Acquisition of user expertise in VESTRA INFRAVISION Road
-Preparation and editing of digital plans with VESTRA INFRAVISION Road
-Every participant should be able to study the program’s features more depth according to his/her needs and interests
