Silvicultural characterization of deciduous tree species (valuable broadleaved trees); forest production ecology; wood quality; production goals and silvicultural operations; economic aspects; production programmes (EU; national); silvicultural principles; training courses in the field

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The lecture is dealing with silvicultural principles of management of pure and mixed deciduous stands (high forest, coppice forest, coppice with standards forest). The students are acquainted with an objective oriented treatment of at the stand level and with handling of the decision process for deciduous stand management
