Content

The students meet regularly (every two weeks) to present their projects and new data obtained within their theses in a doctoral student’s seminar. In addition to the supervisors, at least three other PIs and/or associated faculty members will attend the seminar. Therefore, this seminar will also provide a platform to discuss methodological problems within a larger group. The doctoral students’ seminars will be held in conjunction with the journal clubs. Successful participation of a doctoral seminar includes permanent attendance (missing no more than two meetings) and one presentation of the thesis per semester. The doctoral seminar will be held each semester and the students are committed to participate each semester. During their stay abroad, the students are expected to participate in an equivalent seminar at the respective host institution. All BioToP students have to pass the doctoral seminars I, II, III, IV (a’ 1 ECTS).
