The course will review principles of scientific writing, will explain the structure of a scientific paper and will present common elements that underlie each section of a scientific paper. It will also focus on how to write effectively, concisely, and clearly. The course will also discuss the use of chatGPT or similar AI programs.
The primary focus will be on preparing and editing original scientific research papers. Thus, it is recommended that you have a manuscript in preparation or a report that you would like to publish.

The goals of the course are to: 1. identify what constitutes good scientific writing, 2. understand the underlying structure and patterns of scientific research articles, 3. employ these principles to prepare your manuscript for publication, and 3. improve proficiency in writing up scientific research in English.
