basic timber structures, stress-analysis, joining means (nail, screw, bolt ,dowel,....),



laminated beams, protection of timber-constructions, basic frame - structures, basic lattice structures,



columns, basic types of roof-structures, timber - bridges, multistoreyed timber-buildings

Previous knowledge expected

For students of Environmental Sciences and Civil Engineering (UIW), the following completed modules are highly recommended:

• Baustatik und Festigkeitslehre (highly recommended)

• [StEOP] Mechanik und Werkstoffkunde (highly recommended)

• Konstruktion - Stabtragwerke (advantageous)

For students of Wood and Fibre Technology (HNT), the following completed modules are highly recommended:
