Content

The course aims to provide master students the necessary tools to design and execute a research project in viticulture and fruit sciences. The course contents include the preparation of the idea by identifying research gaps in the literature, experimental planning and design, data collection and management, and statistic basics.

Previous knowledge expected

Only master students.
The course is open to students having successfully completed or attending one of the above mentioned courses

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Upon completion of this class students will:
- gain experience in designing a valid research project, generate a hypothesis and devise suitable protocols in order to test that hypothesis, collect and analyze data,
- design experiments in viticulture and pomology
-apply valid research principles to the analysis and solution of practical/applied problems
-select and evaluate appropriate statistical methods for research in viticulture and pomology experiments
