Each unit focuses on a specific topic related to the physiology of farmed animals. In the first part of each unit, the course instructors present the physiological basics of the respective topic in the form of a lecture. In the second part of the unit, one or two students give presentations on the topic, followed by a discussion. The presentations are based on selected literature on the application of physiological principles in the management of farmed animals and/or in science.

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will have gained an in-depth understanding of selected topics regarding the physiology of farmed animals. They will be able to identify and critically discuss the connections between physiological principles and their application in management/science.
