Fundamental and important knowledge of the biology and ecology of terrestrial animals relevant to nature conservation in Central European landscapes.
The course comprises
1. a lecture component,
2. a field exercise (half-day excursion to the Prater),
3. the completion of a scientific project

- Insight into the connection between biology and ecology of selected animal groups and their use in bioindication.
- Acquisition of basic species knowledge in theory and practice.
- Knowledge of the scientific survey process: data collection, data analysis, creation of a scientific poster from the collected data.
