Surveying for Foresters
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)
-
The most important aim of these fieldwork course is to teach the basics of land surveying. To do so, the students use various surveying equipment, such as total stations, levels, and GNSS-RTK. Measurements taken in the field are used later to demonstrate how the data are processed. In this framework, the students execute basic surveying tasks.
At the end of the fieldwork, the students should be able to decide which surveying method is appropriate for the various tasks they will encounter as forest engineers, and will know how to execute it.
