The course is the project accompanying the lecture Sustainable Design and Construction. Within the framework of this course, a concrete project, (e.g. development of a module for a resource-efficient multi-storey residential building) is carried out.
In the first part of the project work, the focus lies on developing a structural and architectural design for the respective project. Central aspects include the use of ecological materials, a highly efficient use of resources in terms of material quantity, as well as consideration of recycling at the end of the building’s life cycle.
The second part of the course focuses on the ecological assessment during both the production phase and the use phase (energy performance certificate).
