Synergizing geophysics with geotechnics, civil engineering & environmental sciences by introducing the methods of gravity, geomagnetics, geoelectrics, georadar, shallow seismics and wireline logging.
Pro & Con discussion of "real life" casestudies.
- Previous knowledge expected
-
Basics in geology and/or geotechnics.
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)
-
(i) Participants will be introduces to overviews and critical issues of engineering engineering / shallow geophysics. (ii) Integration and operationalization of high-resolution geophysics in geoscientific projects....."..its the economy!..." (iii) Non-intrusive investigative techniques used as preliminary work to optimize any subsequent intrusive investigations (drilling, trenching).
