Content

The course is designed as a practice-oriented project module that enables students to analyse and evaluate the green network of an urban area. The course combines theoretical input, fieldwork, group work and presentations to achieve the learning objectives.

KNOWLEDGE
Students will be able to:
• Explain building and open space structures in their current and historical context
• Explain planning instruments for open space planning
• Discuss open space planning contributions to climate protection and climate change adaptation
SKILLS
Students will be able to:
• Describe, compare and examine building and open space structures using examples and evaluate them in terms of future requirements
• Identify relevant actors in planning processes
TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES
Students will be able to:
• Design and carry out an open space planning inventory analysis and data collection using an example
• link the results of open space planning surveys and develop and argue for sustainable strategies and measures in the context of settlements
