For forestry professionals, understanding and strategically managing societal communication processes is of particular importance. As experts who mediate between diverse interests, this course equips you with theoretical and practical competencies that can provide a significant advantage in the job market.
Topics:
•Elements of strategic public relations:
o Theoretical introduction to public relations
o Classical and innovative PR strategies
o Public affairs management
•Public relations in the forest-wood-based sector:
o Inclusion of selected guest speakers from forestry-relevant fields (e.g., companies, associations, chambers, NGOs)
o Analysis of current case studies and their evaluation

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

•You will gain an understanding of the importance of strategic public relations for forestry through a theoretical introduction and current practical case studies.
•You will develop an awareness of how to design public relations and acquire foundational tools to engage in constructive relationship-building with relevant stakeholders.
