Theoretical concepts of business process management are applied to practical use cases in the forestry and timber industry. Current data standards used for data exchange between stakeholders and in the forestry and timber supply chain are discussed.

Basic knowledge of forestry, roundwood measurement, and timber harvesting is required.

Software tools for business process modeling are used to perform quantitative analyses to support informed management decisions in the wood supply chain. Students are able to identify digital data from the value chain and assess its areas of application.
