The course consists of input elements by lecturers and 2 field trips with on-site discussions of real-life forest management examples.
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Knowledge of basics and principles of Central European forestry. This includes production ecology as well as socio-economic and legal framework for sustainable forest management. Knowledge of silvicultural techniques and systems. Participants learn to know demands of stakeholders for ecosystem services and approaches and limitations to balance multiple demands within the frame of multi-functional forestry.
