Transfer to plants (organic contaminants and heavy metals)
4. Human toxicological risk assessment
5. Investigation of contaminated sites: soil and groundwater analysis
Isotope applications at contaminated sites
6. Remediation of contaminated sites:
Remediation methods for legacy waste deposits
In-situ and on-site methods: fundamentals (microbial degradation), aerobic microbial remediation technologies (saturated/unsaturated zone)
In-situ biological aerobic and anaerobic remediation: PFAS, cyanides, PCE
Heavy metals – immobilization, soil washing
In-situ remediation via chemical oxidation/reduction
Phytoremediation

It is the main aim to discuss the problems of contaminated land from the perspective of soil conservation and the different soil function and to show interdisziplinary ways of assessment and remediation strategies.
