Content

This course goes above and beyond the introductory and mid-level hydrological courses. It covers recent developments and advances in the field of hydrology and integrated water resources management. The focus will be on new mesurement techniques (ground based and from space) and modelling tools (incl. artificial intelligence).

Short introductions will be provided by the lecturers on selected topics and based on the individual interests of registered M.Sc. and PhD students, participants will chose one topic from a pool of research themes to study in detail, present and discuss them in class and/or write a term paper.

After succefully completing the course, the students will be able to:
- elucidate recent developments and advances in the field of hydrology.
- describe current, state-of-the-art techniques that are applied to hydrological research.
- in a scientific forum, present the latest findings found in the literature, with the correct citations, and bibliography.
