1. Colonization of the Landscape in the Middle Ages (2 units)
2. Adaptations Leading Up to the Baroque Recoding and Interconnection of the Landscape (1 unit)
3. Transformation of the Landscape After the Enlightenment (2 units)
4. Conquest of the Countryside During the First Republic (1 unit)
5. Settlement and Contaminated Landscapes (1 session)
6. Landscape as a Resource – Heritage as a Resource (2 sessions)
A total of 8 sessions comprising
9 lecture sessions of 1.5 hours each + 2 half-day field trip sessions + 1 exam colloquium

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

With the help of this course, participants should be able to identify, distinguish, and classify the various manifestations and phenomena of a cultural landscape. Relevant aspects of the history of the landscape planning profession will be presented and discussed.
