Field trips to farms, companies and organizations in the upstream and downstream agricultural sectors will be organized.
Two one-day field trips will be offered in the winter semester 2026/27. To successfully complete the course, students must participate in two field trips (equivalent to 1 ECTS credit). Two groups are offered:
Group 1:
AGRANA Sugar Factory + Grand Farm: During the week of 14.-18.12.2026. The exact date will be announced next week.
Group 2:
Gutschermühle muesli bar production facility + the Hans Gnauer farm or Josephinum Wieselburg: 07.01.2026
Detailed programmes will be announced at a later date.
This field trip is a compulsory course component of the Bachelor's degree programme in Agricultural Sciences. Students enrolled in this degree programme will therefore be given priority when allocating places. Any remaining places will be made available to students from other degree programmes only after the registration fee payment period has closed.
