Scientific research builds on the state of the art in a field of research and therefore begins with reading, analysing and synthesising the current scientific literature. Being able to understand and present in a structured way the latest scientific findings is a prerequisite for going beyond the state of the art and thus conducting good research.
This course addresses this very first task of any scientific inquiry and is designed for students who want to strengthen their academic writing skills and simultaneously deepen their knowledge about organic agricultural systems and agroecology.

This course is designed for Master students who have gained prior basic knowledge in searching, reading and analysing scientific literature on Bachelor’s level.

Upon completion of this course, the students will be able to
•develop and delimit research topics related to organic agricultural systems and agroecology
•critically analyse academic literature;
•write clear, well-structured and concise scientific texts;
•use AI-powered tools in writing processes and evaluate their limitations;
•explain selected interactions in organic agricultural systems and agroecology.
