What is the economy, actually? / Which key economic terms should I know? / How can an economy be organized? / Which economic schools of thought and assumptions play a central role? / Excursus: Green Growth vs. Degrowth


2) COLLECTIVE MEASURES FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY
Sharing Economy – The economy of sharing / Universal Basic Services – The economy of everyday life / Collaborative Economics – Working together for a better future? / Financing the Future – How do we fund the ecological transformation? / Energy of the People – How do energy communities work? / Rethinking Economic Policy for Sustainability


3) INDIVIDUAL MEASURES FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE ECONOMY
Impact Investing – How does my money shape the world? / Lifestyle Choices – One among 8 billion
Previous knowledge expected

No prior knowledge is required. We welcome all questions and aim to make the sessions as interactive and open as possible! Additionally, the introductory chapter will provide the foundational knowledge needed to critically analyze the opportunities and risks of the measures presented afterward.
Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After completing the course, students will be able to…

… define fundamental economic terms, schools of thought, and assumptions.
… outline possible organizational structures for national economies.
… list, describe, compare, and—most importantly—critically assess collective and individual measures for a more sustainable economic system that better aligns with planetary boundaries.
