The course covers some selected topics from the events going on in Russia. Several topics from Russian culture and politic will be presented in the first lesson for the students to choose from. Possible topics include every day culture, tourism, fashion and educational system. Remaining chapters from the book ´Projekte´ by Berditschewski and Loos will be treated as well.
Methodically the ability to work autonomously with information in Russian will be emphasized. We will stage dialogues and play role games. Certainly home assignment will be given regularly.

Target audience: Successful completion of “Russian III” or equivalent knowledge is required. The required level of proficiency is equivalent to approximately 150 hours of Russian instruction. Students should be able to communicate in simple, routine situations. They should also be able to describe people, places, objects, their own education, and their surroundings using simple language.

The aim of the course is to achieve the B1 level of the Council of Europe´s Common European Framework.
