Dive into 3D design by creating practical research devices applying them to actual riverine questions. Develop a solid foundation in 3D CAD/CAM, additive manufacturing, and river measurement techniques; then design your own device, deploy it in the field, and collect and analyse data (e.g., sediments). Create tailored solutions - from simple mounts to samplers and monitoring devices and use them in river monitoring. You’ll leave able to prototype, field-test, and operate your own devices to generate and interpret meaningful data.

- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)
-
use 3D CAD Software;
*3D design a functional measurement device for river research (sieve tower, perforated frame, etc.) and other gadgets relevant for everyday use (mounting devices and clips etc.);
* optimise 3D models for 3D printing;
* know when to use which material (PLA, PETG, ASA, etc.);
* generate files ready for printing;
* apply the measurement device to collect data;
* process and analyse field data;
* understand and interpret the field data, setting it in the broader context of riverine systems;
