Prof. Stefano Leporatti

Prof. Stefano Leporatti (CNR-Nanotech, Lecce, Italy) studied physics at the University of Genoa and obtained his PhD in physics at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (Golm) under the supervision of Prof. Helmuth Möhwald. He then spent five years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Leipzig in the group of Prof. Edwin Donath. In 2006 he obtained a position at the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) in Lecce, where he is currently Research Director.  He has authored more than 140 peer-reviewed publications with more than 5000 citations and an h-index of 36. He has supervised about 15 students (PhD and MSc).

In 2024 he was a visiting professor at the Institute of Biophysics, where he taught the course Nanomedicine and techniques of analysis at the nanoscale.
