Project for energy cascading in a production facility wins Austrian State Prize in the category Energy and Efficiency.

The Institute of Chemical and Energy Engineering of BOKU and the Austrian company Großfurtner have shown that cascaded heat utilization reduces the natural gas demand by 80% and avoids 50% of the CO2 emissions. Implemented in 2015, the project is clearly profitable and will increase the competitiveness of the production site.
