Jennifer Hatlauf presented her work on the current distribution of gold jackals in Austria at this year's IUGB meeting

At this year's International Union of Game Biologists (IUGB) meeting in Montpellier, France (08/2017) Jennifer Hatlauf, from the Institute of Wildlife Biology and Game Management, received third place in the
category best poster. She presented her work on the current distribution of gold jackals (canis aureus) in Austria.

In cooperation with the Szent István University in Gödöllő, Hungary, and the Neusiedler See-Seewinkel National Park, she conducts acoustic monitoring in selected areas. Actively recorded resident jackal groups in Austria could be recorded for the first time by means of this method.
