Introductory counselling

Not yet decided what to study? Looking for information on how to begin studying at BOKU?

No matter if you are still looking for your desired study programme and want to know more about the studies at BOKU or if you have already decided and are looking for information about starting your studies - you are definitely at the right place at the introductory counselling!

Students from all fields of study at BOKU are involved in the counselling service in order to assist prospective students and freshmen. We offer general advice on choosing a course of study and on beginning your studies at BOKU.

In addition, specific advice on topics related to your studies can be obtained from the departments of the Students’ Union at BOKU (ÖH BOKU):

  • Department of Education Policy: study-related legal matters
  • Department of Social Policy: advice on financing studies (grants, scholarships), insurance, social issues (studying with a child, housing & employment)
  • Department for foreign students: counselling for non-Austrian students, in particular members from non-EU countries

This year, the introductory counselling will take place online, via Zoom. After making an appointment via the reservation tool, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with all further information.

  • Tuesday 9:00-12:00
