Science in dialogue: How can we communicate research in an understandable way?

On the occasion of the art project "Fermenting Futures" the initiators from the Institute of Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology (BOKU) and the Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology (acib) invite to a live discussion at the Künstlerhaus Wien.

Especially in a time of crises, science has an important role to play in shaping the opinions of politicians and society. Neither the climate crisis nor the Corona crisis nor the medium- and longer-term effects of war in Europe can be solved without the support of science. The Corona crisis in particular has spurred a renaissance in the involvement of science in public discourse. How can this be countered and scientific knowledge be passed on well? What are the challenges facing education policy, researchers and teachers? And what role does the media play in this?
On the occasion of the exhibition "Fermenting Futures" - an art project combining BioArt, scientific technologies, sculpture and installation - the initiators from the Institute of Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) and the Austrian Centre of Industrial Biotechnology (acib) invite to a
