BOKU has already established itself on the social media platforms Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram. With our social media activities, we express the diversity of BOKU by presenting our users with a colorful, true-to-life image of BOKU as a future-oriented place for studying, teaching, science and work. Now BOKU is to become a pioneer for a new, authentic way of communicating with students and future students on social media.

BOKU is going TikTok. TikTok is the world's leading platform for short videos on smartphones. Unlike other social media channels, TikTok is characterized by a particularly young user group - around 70 percent are between 16 and 24 years old.

We see great potential in TikTok to strengthen the "BOKU" brand and to get in touch with future students. Short videos allow us to use a diverse range of content from scientists in this field and present their research not only in an accessible way, but also in an entertaining and comprehensible way for young people and generate interest in BOKU's topics.

What can be expected? With Sarah Frantz and Maximilian Roitner, we have found our BOKU TikTokers who will inform and entertain you. We start with a focus on campus life, student talent, personal stories, bring BOKU research to life and inform about the burning issues of our time. We use our large community of students and researchers to create content on various topics and trends.
