The BOKU first aid courses are aimed at employees who are available to their work environment as first aiders (long-term or at least another 2 years of employment).

The basic training takes place in the 16-hour basic first aid course. An 8-hour refresher course is required every four years (with the exception of paramedics).

You can access the current dates via your BOKU-Trainingspass.

First aiders, together with the fire wardens, safety officers and safety specialists in your area, must ensure that accidents at work are avoided. In the event of an accident or during evacuation exercise, you should react calmly and, if necessary, instruct or care for your colleagues.

A comprehensive team of first aiders is present at every location. There are notices in all university buildings with the names and telephone numbers of the first aiders.
