Research performance in accordance with all standards of good scientific practices is an official duty for all BOKU research personnel. All BOKU personnel is entitled to appeal to the ombudsservice in all cases of violation or of conflicts about the keeping up of good scientific practice or in case of scientific misconduct. The members of BOKU ombudsservice are for all incurring cases obliged to the principles of confidentiality and discretion. In case that external consultants are employed by the ombudsservice, these persons also have to agree to a confidentiality clause. Governing principle for all investigative procedures of the ombudsservice is the protection of the dignity and the good reputation of the concerned persons.
